Thirty two members, family groups and guests attended the Patrons of Italian Culture's annual Christmas luncheon, held once again at the 'hilltop' estate of Mr. & Mrs. Robert De Pietro, on Saturday December 6, as reported by Paul Romano, Patrons President.
Deluxe catering was again provided by East Side Market with a fine selection of luncheon entrees, and members enjoyed rare Italian wines from Sicily honoring the Sicilian 'PUPI' history.
Special guest, Mr. Nick Privitelli of Morgan Stanley, presented a “Matching Funds” challenge from one of their “Charitable Trusts” in support of the Casola Prize scholarships. The members were up to the task and at the end of the event more than $8,500 was raised.
Another lovely choir recital was performed by St. Monica's Academy youth singers. Members were appreciative of the performance and we hope to have them back on a regular basis.
